Student Success Coordinator

Makeena was welcomed to Marquette in 2023 as the Student Success Coordinator, where she serves both the MBA program and first-year undergraduate College of Business students as an Academic Advisor. She is also the instructor for fall sections of LEAD 1050 - Foundations for Academic and Career Success, and oversees various marketing projects within the Graduate School of Management alongside GSM Assistant Dean Karen Rinehart. 

Previously, Makeena was the Assistant Director of Enrollment at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, as well as a Global Brand Ambassador for the PPI Group, a custom publishing and digital marketing firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She is an alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she received her B.A. in Music in 2012.
