Calley Hostad

Calley Hostad, Grad ’16, serves as multimedia manager for the Diederich College of Communication. She holds a master’s degree in leadership studies from Marquette University’s College of Business Administration along with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, English and art from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Hostad joined Marquette in 2010, working in the College of Education’s Hartman Center and then overseeing its communication and recruitment needs before joining the Diederich College full time in 2021. On Marquette’s campus, she currently serves as the chair of University Staff Senate. Previously, Hostad co-chaired the senate’s communications subcommittee and held the role of secretary in addition to being its designee to the Strategic Planning Core Team. Additionally, Hostad is part of the Telehealth Research Community’s leadership team, co-chair of the Marquette Social Professionals employee resource group, and has been a member of the Wellness Committee as well as other university-wide work groups and initiatives. She is also a doctoral student in Marquette’s Educational Policy and Leadership Program.

An avid bookworm, Hostad spends much of her time outside of work reading or exploring Fox Point, Wisconsin, where she lives with her husband, Michael, and an overactive puppy named Paul.
