Upcoming CFAH Coffeehouse Events

The CfAH's office has been newly updated with furniture and amenities to encourage meetings among students to talk, study, or just enjoy the space. The space now features a couch and chairs, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker and games. Feel free to stop by and take a look at our updated space.

The CFAH Coffeehouse is a place where students and faculty have the opportunity to get together to discuss humanities-related current events and topics. We hope that the CfAH Coffeehouse can be a place on campus where students can openly talk about their opinions and thoughts and that it will make them feel they belong here.

The CFAH Coffeehouse located in Sensenbrenner, 004.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the next CfAH Coffeehouse coming soon! Information will be posted HERE and on our socials! Check out our CfAH Coffeehouse flyer HERE

Past CFAH Coffeehouse Events

For the CfAH Coffeehouse on Wednesday, March 9th from 5:00-7:00pm, we invited undergraduate students and faculty to gather in the CfAH office to discuss the war in Ukraine through the lenses of history, literature, philosophy, language, and theology. We unpacked how we can understand what’s going on there, integrating art and architecture into the discussion. Influences such as social media responses were considered. We analyzed Zelinsky’s viral videos versus Putin’s picture at the long table of Emptiness. At the end of the day, we just got together to talk about what is going on over a cup of coffee.
