COVID-19 General Education Abroad Information

The Offfice of International Education understands the ongoing concern related to COVID-19 while traveling abroad.

Marquette University no longer requires a COVID-19 vaccination for students who are participating in education abroad programs. However, Marquette continues to strongly recommend that all students, faculty and staff get vaccinated against COVID-19 and stay up to date with recommended boosters.

Although Marquette University no longer requires this vaccination, all participants on education abroad programs must ensure that they are also complying with any host country, city, or institutional requirements during their time abroad. These policies may vary by location and can change at any time based upon COVID-19 transmission levels.

Students in or coming to Milwaukee are encouraged to visit the Marquette University COVID-19 website for resources and University updates.

Students considering travel abroad should review the CDC Traveler's Health page for COVID-19.

GeoBlue, the international insurance and security coverage for students participating on Marquette University education abroad programs, has created a COVID-19 Updates - Group Members page which should also be reviewed.

Students with general questions related to study abroad should contact studyabroad@marquette.edu
