Fall Semester Closing Information
Before you leave:
• Empty your trash can
• Close and lock all windows and close drapes
• Remove all perishable food items and take to trashroom or take home
• Clean and defrost your refrigerator – leave door open
• Unplug and clean ALL appliances
• Find vacation homes for your plants and fish
• Turn off all lights and lock your door
• If you are leaving Marquette or studying abroad for Spring Semester, speak with your RHD by Friday, December 7.
• Halls close on Saturday, December 15 at noon and re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 13. Please make arrangements to be out by this time.

Finals Week Visitation Policy
There will be no overnight visitation starting Friday, December 7.
Non-overnight visitation will end at 1:00 am every day, beginning Friday, December 7.
Normal visitation will resume on Monday, January 14.
Students will not be allowed overnight visitation on Sunday, January 13.
Channel 123 December Movies
Need a break from finals week? Be sure to check out the December Movie Series located on Channel 123 in the residence halls and university-owned apartments.
Winter Break Housing
All residence halls except Carpenter Towerwill be closed for Winter Break (December 15 –January 13). The halls close at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15th and re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 13th. Only those students who are permanent residents of Carpenter Tower may stay in those buildings over break.
Those students who are staying in Carpenter Towerfor any portion of Winter Break must notify your residence hall director of the dates that you will be staying in the hall. Please note: the extended opening of these buildings is meant to accommodate students who are unable to return home and not to provide single overnight stays to students visiting Milwaukee. Students who do not sign-up for break housing prior to December 14th, must have approval by the residence hall director before being allowed to stay in Carpenter Tower.

Application due by 5:00 p.m. to the ORL Student Suite (Carpenter, Rm 119) A Resident Assistant Selection Committee member will be present from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to accept your application packet and assist you in signing up for Group Process and an Individual Interview time.
RA Group Process
January 19, 2013
You will sign up for either a morning or afternoon time slot. At this event you will work with other applicants to solve problems and be evaluated by current RAs. Please dress comfortably.
January 31 - February 1, 2013
This is a 30-minute interview with an Office of Residence Life employee and a current Resident Assistant. Please dress for a formal interview.
February 25, 2013
Notification letters will be sent to all applicants.

Miracle on Westowne Square
Igniting Hope: Miracle in Westowne Square takes place December 2nd with mass at 8 pm followed by a Tree lighting ceremony and reception at 9 pm.
The mass will take place in the Chapel of the Holy Family, the tree lighting ceremony in Westowne Square (the area between McCormick and the AMU).

OIE Holiday Extravaganza
Office of International Education (OIE) Holiday extravaganza, December 7th, 5-7 pm. Featuring: hot cocoa, gingerbread houses, Christmas tree decorations

Back by popular demand, MUSG is once again hosting Christmas in the City.
Travel to Chicago for an eventful day full of shopping on Michigan Ave., ice skating at Millenium Park, experiencing the traditional German Christkindlmarket, or partaking in any other activity you wish!
The journey to Chicago will begin with MUSG's own rendition of the Polar Express - luxury coach busses leaving from SHAMU that serve hot chocolate, Christmas treats, and a viewing of the film, as well as some of your other Christmas favorite movies.
