Description of Agency/Activities: Windlake Elementary is an elementary education program for first through sixth grade children. The school works in partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools, but it is an alternative to the public school setting. The majority of the students are of Hispanic heritage (70%). The remaining students are a mix of European Americans, African Americans, Native Americans and Asians. The school began in 1995.

Commitment/Requirements: Background check, orientation plus 2 hours per week during the semester. Get your background check processed ASAP - you don't way to delay getting started with your service work. Your punctuality and consistent attendance are very important at this site.
