Description of Agency/Activities: Grandview High School is an alternative High School Program that is in partnership with the Milwaukee Public Schools. The mission at Grandview "is to provide at-risk students the opportunity to re-enter, and finish their secondary education in a multi-cultural community that fosters knowledge and equity in an atmosphere of respect and cooperation." The school's primary focus is on school age parents and parents to be, and they also work with habitual truants. The school consists of about 225 students of various racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Commitment: Orientation at the site; 2-3 hours per week throughout the semester. Strong attendance is very important at this site! If you sign up for this site, keep your commitment and come when scheduled. You must also complete a background check at Sign-Up Night.
The Following is only for students in HEAL 2045 Normal and Therapeutic Nutrition!
Students will have various responsibilities from being a lunch room assistant, to serving, preparing and portioning the meals. Students will also be checking temperatures of the meals and recording the temps. You may also be in charge of clean up which may entail storing the meals and cleaning up the cafeteria as well as the kitchen.
