1. Take #30 or a #10 bus west on Wisconsin Ave (heading away from downtown, past Mashuda)
2. Get off at 29th and West Wisconsin Ave
3. The ministry is housed in the basement of Our Saviors Lutheran Church (the entrance is located on the side of the building facing the Tripoli Temple)

Orientation: At site, first day of service. Please begin the week of September 9th
Days/Hours of Operation: Food Pantry and Outreach Ministry: 9:30am-1:00pm
Description of Activities: Central City Churches Outreach Ministry is a neighborhood outreach ministry for the surrounding Milwaukee community. It assists people who are in need of housing, food, employment services, and companionship. Service Learners will need an open mind and an open heart for this placement. The core of this ministry is hospitality, respect, and compassion. It aims to respond faithfully to its neighbors and their emergent needs with direct service, information and referral.
Student Role in Ministry:
Pantry Assistant: Service Learners will assist in the inventory, organization, and distribution of food and necessities to our "neighbors in need." This role is necessary to ensure that those who are in need of the services of Central City Churches can receive supplies in a timely manner.
Commitment: Service Learner needs to commit to one two-hour shift per week (not including the mid-semester and Thanksgiving breaks) and one orientation with the site coordinator during their first visit.
