Paul Mascari, Chief of Public Safety

Welcome to the Marquette University Department of Public Safety site. I am truly honored to lead the Department of Public Safety and serve the Marquette Community. As chief of public safety, I take the issue of safety very seriously, and I will continue to strive to make the Marquette campus a safe place to live, learn, and work.

Marquette’s urban setting is an integral part of the Jesuit college experience, and Marquette invests significant resources to promote safety and security on campus. The Department of Public Safety will remain vigilant in our protection of the campus community, but safety is a shared responsibility. To emphasize this collaborative effort, the department will work tirelessly to educate the Marquette community on ways to live and work safely in an urban environment. The Department of Public Safety will continue to do everything possible to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff and surrounding neighborhood.

I pledge to run a department centered on collaboration, communication, and transparency. I invite you to explore the website for important safety guides, tips, and resources to increase your safety and security on campus.
