The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.

The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances. The below listed incidents have been forwarded to the Milwaukee Police Department.

#14-1464         Drug Offenses; Occurred and reported Wed., 10/22/14 at 11:25 a.m.  A controlled substance was found in a student’s room in McCormick Hall.  MPD contacted.

#14-1467         Burglary; Occurred Mon., 10/20/14 between 12:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.  Reported Wed., 10/22/14 at 1:59 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his property est. at $140 from O’Donnell Hall.  MPD contacted.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-1465         Theft; Occurred Wed.,10/22/14 at 12:25 p.m.  Reported Wed., 10/22/14 at 12:28 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette removed property from a business in the 1600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and fled the scene.  DPS located and physically detained the subject.  MPD took the subject into custody.

#14-1457         Harassment; Occurred between Sun., 10/19/14 at 7:00 p.m. and Mon., 10/20/14 at 9:42 p.m.  Reported Tue., 10/21/14 at 7:52 a.m.  An employee of a business in the 1600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue reported receiving harassing and threatening phone messages from unknown person(s).  MPD contacted.

#14-1460         Theft; Occurred Mon., 10/20/14 at 10:00 a.m.  Reported Tue., 10/21/14 at 3:02 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed her unsecured, unattended MUID in the Alumni Memorial Union.  Est. loss is $25.

#14-1461         Disorderly Conduct; Occurred Tue., 10/21/14 at 6:20 p.m.  Reported Tue., 10/21/14 at 6:25 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette acted in a disorderly manner in a business in the 1600 block of W. Wells and was taken into custody by MPD.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-1459         Battery; Occurred Tue., 10/21/14 at 9:45 a.m.  Reported Tue., 10/21/14 at 1:33 p.m.  A student reported that an unidentified subject spit on the student in the 1700 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  MPD will be notified.

#14-1448         Vandalism; Occurred between Fri., 10/17/14 at 6:00 a.m. and Sat., 10/18/14 at 12:30 a.m.  Reported Sat., 10/18/14 at 3:33 a.m.  An employee reported that unknown person(s) vandalized a mirror in a restroom in Straz Business causing an est. $500 in damage.  Facilities Services notified.

#14-1449         Hit & Run Accident:  Property Damage Only; Occurred between Fri., 10/17/14 at 9:00 p.m. and Sat., 10/18/14 at 4:34 a.m.  Reported Sat., 10/18/14 at 4:36 a.m.  A student reported that an unknown vehicle struck his secured, unattended vehicle in Structure Two causing an est. $3,000 in damage to the vehicle.

#14-1451         Vandalism; Occurred Sat., 10/18/14 at 2:40 a.m.  Reported Sat., 10/18/14 at 8:15 a.m.  Unknown person(s) vandalized a fire extinguisher box in Structure Two causing an est. $25 in damage. 

OFF CAMPUS

#14-1447         OWI/Intoxicated Driver; Occurred and reported Sat., 10/18/14 at 1:25 a.m.  A vehicle driven by an intoxicated driver not affiliated with Marquette struck university owned fencing on a median in the 1300 block of W. Wells causing damage to the fencing.  The driver was taken into custody by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.  No injuries reported.

#14-1450         Battery; Occurred and reported Sat., 10/18/14 at 4:23 a.m.  A student punched a person not affiliated with Marquette in the 1800 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  No injuries reported.  MPD contacted.

#14-1452         Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Sun., 10/19/14 at 1:12 a.m.  An underage student consumed alcohol at an unknown off campus location.

#14-1443         Vandalism; Occurred between Mon., 10/13/14 at 5:00 p.m. and Tue., 10/14/14 at 8:00 a.m.  Reported Thu., 10/16/14 at 3:35 p.m.   A person not affiliated with Marquette reported that unknown person(s) vandalized a door lock of a building in the 1600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-1444         Battery & Theft; Occurred Thu., 10/16/14 between 4:44 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.  Reported Thu., 10/16/14 at 4:45 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported being punched by an acquaintance not affiliated with Marquette in a vehicle the 800 block of N. 18th Street.  The victim exited the vehicle and the subject drove off with the victim’s property still in the vehicle.  No injuries reported.  MPD contacted.

#14-1445         Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Fri., 10/17/14 at 12:59 a.m.  A student’s underage guest admitted consuming alcohol at an unknown location.
