Igniting Hope is the Residence Hall Association’s (RHA) annual christmastree lighting ceremony. Each year, Marquette students, staff, and faculty gather to celebrate the start of Advent and to prepare for the holiday season.

Before the ceremony, join us in serving the Milwaukee community. Partnering with CAMPus Impact, we will be handing out donations to anyone who is on campus that day no questions asked. We will have tables set up in front of McCormick Hall, behind the 707 Building, and in front of Straz Tower. Get to know your neighbors and welcome the holiday season with the gift of giving.

Theblessing and lighting of our Christmas tree will occur at 5:00pm in Westowne square (rain:AMU). The Marquette Liturgical Choir and Fr.Mueller will join in welcoming the Advent season. Everyone will receivea candle during the ceremonyto make this night memorable.

After the ceremony, continue the celebration in the Alumni Memorial Union Ballrooms at a reception with food, beverages, a photobooth, crafts, andmusical performances from the Naturals, Gold 'n' Blues, andMeladies! Thisis a magnificent way to begin the Christmas season and is a tradition you will not want to miss!

Additionally, in the spirit of giving, Dance Marathon will be collecting donations for the Children's Miracle Network. A CHAMP family will be at the reception and part of the festivities. Letter writing will also be available to bring the holiday spirit to children in the hospital.
