2014-15 Resident Assistant Selection
The Office of Residence Life is seeking Resident Assistants for the 2014-2015 academic year! The Resident Assistant (RA) position is a premiere leadership position within the Office of Residence Life.
The main function of the RA is to build relationships with residents in an effort to provide individualized support, campus resource information, and academic encouragement. The goal of the RA is to ensure that Marquette feels like home for residential students by building communities within each wing or floor.
To apply for the RA position, please plan to attend one of the mandatory information sessions. Information sessions are offered to give you a better understanding of the RA position, provide details on how to apply for the position, and to give you an opportunity to meet current RAs and professional staff from the Office of Residence Life. We hope to see you there!

Apartment Sign-Up Information
Current residents may sign up for a different apartment.
Access Apartment Sign-Up Time
November 8 –11
Students applying for the University Apartments who are not current apartment residents will be able to access the online sign-up system to view their assigned sign-up date and time.
General Apartment Selection
For students new to the University Apartments, apartment selection using the online sign-up system will take place between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. according to your assigned sign-up time.
Please remember some other important information:
Every resident who plans to live in the University Apartments must pay a Housing Deposit.
Housing Deposits are only refundable if you (or your roommates) do not assign yourself to an apartment using the online system. If you or your roommates select an apartment through the online system, your deposit is not refundable, even if you do not choose to live in the University Apartments.
When you pay the housing deposit, you will receive an information packet on how to use the online system, along with resources and guides for selecting an apartment.
There must be at least one person per each bedroom in an apartment.
Swapping rooms/roommates after selection is not allowed. The person booking the apartment must remain in that space; if they choose to move to another apartment or not sign, their former space will be distributed to a waiting list applicant.
You must be enrolled as a full-time Marquette student for the 2014-2015 academic year. There are no guarantees of apartment availability.
*Please note: apartments are only available to junior and senior students.
Break Period Information
All residence halls will remain open during Thanksgiving Break (November 27– December 1). If you plan to stay in your residence hall, please notify your RA in advance. Upon every entrance into the halls, resident and guest ID's will be collected.
Overnight visitation will not be permitted during Thanksgiving Break from November 27 through December 1. Visitation hours will end at 1:00 AM each night during these breaks. Ask your Residence Hall Director any questions you may have.
All residence halls except Carpenter Tower will be closed for Winter Break (December 14 –January 11). The halls close at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th and re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11th. Only those students who are permanent residents of Carpenter Tower may stay in those buildings over break.
Those students who are staying in Carpenter Tower for any portion of Winter Break must notify your residence hall director of the dates that you will be staying in the hall. Please note: the extended opening of these buildings is meant to accommodate students who are unable to return home and not to provide single overnight stays to students visiting Milwaukee. Students who do not sign-up for break housing prior to December 9th, must have approval by the residence hall director before being allowed to stay in Carpenter Tower.

Mashuda Hall Front Dining Room
Hours of Operation in these locations:
Sundays, 7 to 9 PM
Mondays, 7 to 9 PM
Tutors are available for one-on-one consultations on a drop-in, first-come-first-serve basis.

Igniting Hope on December 2
Join the Residence Hall Association in celebrating the beginning of the Advent season and to prepare for Christmas with a tree lighting ceremony in Westowne Square on Monday, December 2nd at 4:30 P.M.
Afterwards, please join us in the AMU ballrooms for a reception including light refreshments and entertainment.
