Residence Hall Selection process
Since the completion of the 2013-2014 residence hall selection process, we have received a few questions about our centralized waiting list and room change process.
Centralized Waiting List
Students who wish to be placed on a waiting list for a particular building or room type need to submit a request online by Friday, April 26.
Students who are added to the waiting list by April 26 will be prioritized based on their original assignment time and the list will be maintained throughout this summer.
You must include your MUID, preferred building/room type and roommate information if applicable (your roommate(s) must also send a separate request to be on the waiting list).
Note: You cannot submit a request until after you have completed the selection process.
Person – for – Person Room Changes
Any students who wish to make a person-for-person room change to another occupied room (e.g. switching roommates) must stop into the Office of Residence Life to complete a room change form between April 15 and May 10.
All of the students who will be affected by the change (even those not changing rooms) must be present to complete the form.
Late Sign Up Process
Any student who has not signed up for a university residence hall will need to pay their housing deposit and complete the process by Friday, April 26.
Please note: All first- and second-year students, regardless of academic classification, are required to live in a university residence hall.
Saturday Opening Date for Returners
Please note that the residence halls will reopen for all returning students on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
A schedule of arrival times will be sent to all residence hall students with their housing assignment confirmation email in June.
Summer housing applications for students who need on campus housing in a residence hall during Summer Sessions will be available in the Office of Residence Life and online beginning Monday, April 15.
