“A Dollhouse” to be performed at Marquette University

A doting, proper banker’s wife’s illusions of a perfect life are shattered when she makes a sacrifice out of love that puts her husband’s reputation in danger in the Marquette Theatre Arts performance of A Dollhouse. The show will run from Wednesday, Feb. 21 through Sunday, March 3 at the Evan P. and Marion Helfaer Theatre, 525 N. 13th St.

In Henrik Ibsen’s controversial classic, Nora Helmer centers her life around the needs of her husband and three children. Nora goes against societal norms in this 19th century play in the hopes of escaping from her marital confines. The performance will run:

•    Thursday, Feb. 21, through Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
•    Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2:30 p.m.
•    Wednesday, Feb. 27, through Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m.
•    Sunday, March 3, at 2:30 p.m.

Ticket prices for the general public range from $16 to $20. Discounts are offered to senior citizens, Marquette students, employees and alumni. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the theatre box office at (414) 288-7504 or online at http://www.showclix.com/events/marquettetheatre/.
