There is a formal process by which a student can view his/her record. The request must be initiated by the Request To Inspect Educational Records Under the FERPA Act of 1974 form. The form is submitted and then the university has up to 45 days to retrieve and review your file and ready it for your inspection. Some documents may be copied with a .50/page fee. Other materials, including but not limited to, transcripts from other schools, high school transcripts, letters or forms of recommendation for which you have waived your right to view, are not available for copy.
