Tracking Degree Progress with Academic Advisement

Academic Advisement is a degree audit tool that is fully integrated with the CheckMarq student information system, available to all students who entered Marquette in Fall 2005 or later. The following key features are available in Academic Advisement.

For Students

  • Use My Planner and plan courses by requirements to create a term-by-term academic plan.
  • Create What-if scenarios to explore possible changes in your academic plan.
  • Enroll for courses directly from My Requirements or My Planner.
  • Review academic progress toward graduation by reviewing requirements via an interactive on-line or two printable PDF reports options.

For Advisors

  • View courses that an advisee has in their planner.
  • View courses that an advisee has in their “shopping cart” in preparation for registration.
  • Review an advisee's academic progress toward graduation using the same reports as the students.
  • Use a single source document that incorporates the applicable university, college and major/minor requirements specific to your advisee’s degree plan.
