Wisconsin Education Association Council Scholarships
Amount:  $750

Applicant must be a high school senior who is the child of a member of WEAC.  Applicant must be planning to pursue an education major or minor and teach in Wisconsin. The applicant must rank in the top 25% of his/her graduating class or have achieved a 3.0 cumulative grade point average ath the time of application.  Student must show evidence of involvement in school and community activities.

Applicants must be full-time college juniors (or have senior-level standing in their third year of college enrollment) at the time of application.  Applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in government, education, the nonprofit sector, or the public interest/advocacy sector.

Wisconsin Mathematics Education Foundation Scholarships

Eligible students must be legal residents of Wisconsin currently enrolled in an education program.  Students must currently be enrolled in or have already completed a course in methods of teaching mathematics and currently have a GPA of at least 3.0.

Applicants must be high school seniors who are able to demonstrate evidence of hard work and overcoming obstacles to achieve their goals as well as a commitment to community service.  Preference will be given to students wishing to pursue an education degree in order to teach special needs students.

Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled full time at an accredited college or university in the U.S.  majoring in secondary education for the purpose of teaching STEM subjects in a middle or secondary school. Applicant must be a current sophomore, junior or senior student.  Graduate candidates must be currently enrolled in at least two (semester-equivalent) classes at an accredited U.S. college or university. A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is required.
