POULIOT OSCARS EXHIBIT

Special Collections and University Archives presents the papers of television writer, producer, director, and Marquette alumn—Stephen L. Pouliot—in its Oscars exhibit that runs through April in the Prucha Archives Reading Room in Raynor Library.

The Stephen L. Pouliot Collection includes scripts, programs, memoranda, and research notes for a variety of specialty television programs such as the 68th Annual Academy Awards (1996), the focus of the current exhibit on display.

Pouliot graduated from the Marquette University College of Journalism in 1967 and continued his studies at the University of Southern California where he earned a Master's Degree in Cinema Arts.

He is president of Cabrillo Place, Inc., a television writing company he established in 1982. His credits include the well-known Academy Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Miss America Pageant, the Olympic Winter Games, and a 17-hour global awareness special titled "Live Earth," among many others.

Prior to starting his business, Pouliot served as director of development for Bob Banner Associates. During this time he won a Peabody Award for his writing, producing, and directing of a Como holiday special filmed in Austria and an Award of Excellence from the Film Advisory Board for "Journey from Darkness."

Guests are welcome to view the exhibit during regular service hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For further information, please call (414) 288-7256.
