Peggy Troy

Peggy TroyPeggy Troy, Nurs ’74, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2011.

Peggy has served as president and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin since January 2009. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is the region’s only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children.

Prior to joining Children’s Hospital, Peggy served as the executive vice president and COO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and president and CEO of Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, both in Memphis, and president of Cook Children’s Medical Center in Ft. Worth.

Peggy is a member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee and serves on the boards of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, Blood Center of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Hospital Association and Teach for America. Peggy is also on the board of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center which she chaired in 2012. Peggy served as co-chair of the 2012 United Way campaign and continued to serve as co-chair for the healthcare division for the 2013 United Way campaign. She also previously co-chaired the UPAF Ride for the Arts.

Peggy sits on a national board of the Children’s Hospital Association where she is the chair-elect. She is regularly invited to Washington, D.C., to meet with public and elected officials regarding pediatric health care policy.

Peggy earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Marquette University in 1974 and a master’s in nursing from DePaul University in Chicago. While attending Marquette, she served as a nurse intern at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Peggy and her husband, Ron, have two daughters. She is a member of the Marquette University President’s Society.
