Patrick S. Lawton, Bus Ad ’78, Grad ’80, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2013.
He serves as managing director of fixed income capital markets at Robert W. Baird & Co. He is responsible for all areas of fixed income capital markets, including public finance banking, sales and trading.
Prior to joining Baird in 1988, Pat spent seven years with Merrill Lynch’s Capital Markets Group, the last three in Chicago.
He is a member of Baird’s board of directors, serves as chairman of the board of WaterStone Financial Inc. and is on the board of the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Pat and his wife, Colleen, Arts ’79, met while attending Marquette. They have four children: Chris; Andy; Shannon, Bus Ad ’11; and Matt. Pat is a member of the Marquette University President’s Society.
