IT Services offers several methods of managing and distributing e-mails to large groups.
IT Services will set up your list with a select group of authorized senders, according to your needs.
Faculty and staff can request an e-mail list for university use. For class work, faculty should consider a D2L course site which includes a built-in e-mail distribution list. Student organizations must have a faculty or staff sponsor to request an e-mail list.
If the list is for one area or the requestor provides a specific set of e-mail addresses, the request will be approved; however, if the request crosses functional/departmental areas or requests "all" users, the request will be routed through the appropriate office (Office of Marketing and Communication for faculty/staff users, Office of the Registrar for students) for approval.
All listservs must comply with the provisions of the Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources Policy and other policies as set forth by the university in order to be approved and created. E-mail lists are maintained by the administrator of the list, not by IT Services.
To create a list, please fill out an online request form. IT Services will then create a distribution list or listserv to meet your needs.
