Marquette will offer doctorate in nursing practice
Marquette University will offer Wisconsin's first doctoral program in nursing practice, beginning in fall 2008. The DNP program will include two options -- in health care leadership or advanced practice in one of five specialty areas. Guidelines set by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing call for all programs designed to prepare nurses for advanced practice and nursing administration to be doctorates of nursing practice by 2015.
