Per the Employee Handbook, in addition to the eleven (11) established holidays on the university’s annual holiday calendar, regular full-time employees qualify for one (1) additional paid floating holiday after completing one year of employment.
Eligible employees are awarded the floating holiday on January 1st of each year. This floating holiday may be scheduled and taken on any regular workday, subject to advance scheduling and supervisory approval. A floating holiday not used during the calendar year will be forfeited. In addition, terminating employees will not receive pay for an unused floating holiday, nor can employees take a floating holiday during the resignation notice period, unless scheduled prior to resignation notice.
