College of Education Participation in Marquette Community Campaign Approaches 100%

Released: 11/8/11

Personnel in the College of Education always answer the call for service and generosity. That's why, during this year’s Marquette University Community Campaign, over 94% of full-time faculty, professional administrators and staff in the College of Education gave generously to assist with student scholarships and support funding for arts and health and human service programming.

The annual campaign represents an opportunity for Marquette employees to donate to the university’s Annual Fund — especially for scholarship aid; the United Performing Arts Fund, which assists performing arts organizations in southeastern Wisconsin; and United Way, which supports local health and human service programs. In addition to scholarship aid, employees can also contribute to other Marquette initiatives.

Overall, the 2011 university campaign raised a total of $301,900 from 737 donors - meeting the campaign dollar goal of $300,000 and exceeding the goal of 650 donors by more than 85 participants.
