From: L. Christopher Miller, Vice President for Student Affairs
Members of Campus Ministry and Residence Life have been at the hospital supporting the families of Marquette students, Nicole Gibson and Honnalee Go, who were injured in yesterday morning’s accident. Campus Ministry received permission from the families to share the following update:
Both students are being treated for serious injuries at Froedtert Hospital. According to their parents, Nicole Gibson is stable and healing. Honnalee Go is expected to be released from the hospital later this week.
I, along with university leadership, appreciate the outpouring of support from our entire campus community. We encourage all of our students to continue to pray for the families and to seek support services from the Counseling Center, Campus Ministry and Residence Life staff. We know many of you are concerned about the well-being of the students, but we ask that you respect the privacy of the families during this difficult time. We will update our community when we are able.
FROM THE PARENTS OF NICOLE GIBSON AND HONNALEE GO:
“The past 24 hours have been extremely challenging for all of us, but we are grateful for the prayers and support from the Marquette University extended family. We are still very early in the healing process, but we know that our daughters are receiving the best medical care possible.”
