Dr. Ezedin Sadeghi presented 2 continuing education course in oral pathology on “ Common Oral Diseases and Their Remedies” for: Greater Milwaukee dental association in September 2011 and Waukesha Dental Society in October 2011


D4 Student Melanie Nesbitt and D3 student Jessica Dubek awarded First Place prize for the “Dentist for a Day” program at the recent Student Ambassadors Conference at the American Dental Association meeting in Las Vegas on October 9, 2011. This program was implemented to provide underrepresented students an opportunity to learn more about dentistry as a career choice and college education in general.

Dr. Lisa Koenig’s new book “Diagnostic Imaging: Oral and Maxillofacial” was released atl the ADA meeting in Las Vegas this week.





Dr. Toni Roucka published an article in the Journal of the American College of Dentistsg this month entitled “Writing off the Copayment”.




Dr. Hermes Hoffman was honored with the 2011 Part Time Faculty Excellence In Teaching Award.





Alpha Sigma Nu, inducted six of our students into The Honor Society of Jesuit Institutionss of Higher Education on Saturday evening, April 16, 2011. The students are Gina Corrado, Andrew Eichholtz, Lindsay Porath, Peter Stanek, Thomas Steinbach and Christopher Streff. They were selected for the characteristics of scholarship, loyalty, and service.


Marquette University announced promotions effective for the fall 2011
semester. Promoted to professor with tenure is Dr. Thomas Bradley. Promoted
to clinical associate professor in dentistry are Mrs. LynnAnn Bryan, Dr.
James Glore
and Dr. Sheila Stover.


Rick Karabon, to be honored in the 2011 Excellence in University Service Awards by the Marquette community for exemplifying the university's mission of excellence, faith, leadership and service.


Dr. Francisco Alencar, has been chosen as an Editorial Board Member of the "Dentistry:e Current Research" area, by the OMICS Publishing Group, noting his reputation for quality of research and trustworthiness in the field of "Dentistry."
