Area parishes and ministry organizations are often looking for volunteers and offer a variety of opportunities to work with youth in a ministry or religious education setting.

A co-leader is needed to help lead a group of 10th graders with another Marquette Student on Sunday mornings from 10:10-11:50am twice a month for the school year. Gatherings start in September. Deadline for volunteers is the end of October. Drivers can be arranged to pick student up at the bus at Brookfield Square.

Help is also needed for the 10th grade relationships retreat which takes place all day on Nov. 17. Deadline to volunteer is mid-October.

Emmaus Program at Casa Romero

EMMAUS (Embracing Many Minds, All United in Solidarity) is a leadership program for Milwaukee high school students that focuses on tools such as gift identification, goal setting and decision-making skills. Marquette students are needed to serve as program facilitators. During the fall semester, Marquette students will gather several times for brief training sessions and will then facilitate three evening workshops for high school students at Casa Romero in the spring semester.

Apply online now, to be an EMMAUS facilitator. Applications are due Friday October 5 at 4:30 pm
