Marquette University offers students an accelerated program, culminating in the completion of the Bachelor of Science degree and the D.D.S. in only seven years. Students are accepted into the program as incoming freshmen and must meet the following criteria to remain in the program:

Applying to Marquette's School of Dentistry

Pre-dental Scholars follow an abbreviated application process to Marquette University School of Dentistry and, if the criteria listed above have been met, are guaranteed a space in the incoming class and begin dental school course work after their junior year.

Completing bachelor of science requirements

Credits earned during the first year of dental studies, count as electives toward the final year of the student's bachelors program, as well as counting toward completion of the dental curriculum. Therefore, students receive their bachelor of science degree after successful completion of their first year at Marquette University's School of Dentistry.

Course work

From freshman through junior years, Pre-dental Scholars follow the same course work as other pre-dental students in preparation for the DAT exam and entrance to dental school, completing their core curriculum requirements as well as the requirements for their chosen major. In addition, the program requires two one-credit-hour seminars during the freshman year to provide more exposure to the dental field.
