A prayer for the Thanksgiving table
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, let us be mindful of the many gifts and graces that God has given us individually and as a community. May they nourish us and strengthen us as we strive to build the kingdom of God in our lives, in our homes, in our hearts.

Most merciful God, Your gifts of love number like the stars in the sky and Your goodness infinite. On this Thanksgiving Day we come before You with gratitude for Your kindness: open our hearts to concern for others, so that we may share Your gifts of loving service with all Your people. Bless this food before us as we remember those who will be hungry or lonely today.
Amen.

May your Thanksgiving table be graced with family, good food, and good friends.

Frederick Zagone, S.J.
Chaplain, Marquette University Alumni Association
